I've been sewing

Here are a few things that I've made as baby gifts. I actually made quite a bit more than this, but I've already given some away. I love these burp cloths, They are so simple to make but make such a nice gift. I'm crazy about the fabric on these! :)

This darling little dress was made for my little niece Sayla. I can't wait to see her in it. I got the idea from one of my favorite blogs. She got the pattern from what would soon become another one of my favorite blogs. The pattern is free for personal use. I'm sure our little Sayla will look smashing in it. :) I made a couple more that I have given away already. In the one pictured here, I made it exactly like the pattern, in the others, I changed the skirt ( I wanted it fuller) Ok, I take that back, it's not EXACTLY like the pattern.. I left off the piping and the bias hem, I wanted to knock several of these out in a short amount of time so I skipped those 2 steps. Still very cute! It comes in ITTY BITTY sizes.. preemie and newborn. I for one, am always frustrated by clothes that say that they are for a newborn and really would fit an ogre. Not this one..:) I see alot of these in my future!
I made this set for one of our babies. I loved this fabric ( walmart, can you believe it?) I'm usually a bit of a fabric snob, but this was too cute to pass up. I made the matching toy dog out of wool felt. I think next time I will add something to the inside to make it rattle.
So, I think that is about it.....TaTa for now...:)

As always I love your projects! Where on earth did you find such cool fabric for the first set of burp cloths? Amazing! How was your Mother's Day?

I love this little dress pattern too, and I got it from the same place! LOL I am going to be making some for a friend who is having twin girls in October. These would never fit my newborns, mine are huge, 3 of them weighed in at between 9 and 10 pounds LOL
